There are different approaches to treat and control erectile dysfunction. Some treatment approaches are highly costly and some other work only for a short period of time. The best approach to treat the thing ED is to change lifestyle and adopt some positive habits.

Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is an increasingly common disease in males in which the ability of erection decreases. Other symptoms include painful feelings during the erection that makes the males unable to have proper sex. These painful feelings make men less interested in sex even though they are not actually facing the ED issue. Dealing with Erectile dysfunction disease becomes more complex when there are different treatment options available but hardly any of the treatment options are permanently effective. For example, there are many pills e.g. Viagra available and their manufacturing companies claim these pills can treat ED effectively. Besides these pills, testosterone is the other treatment option available to treat ED. Similarly, there are other treatment options available to treat ED, but what is the more logical approach to treat ED is yet to be answered.

Why Does Erectile Dysfunction Happen?

There are multiple reasons behind erectile dysfunction. One of the important causes of this disease is hormonal imbalance. As we know the testosterone is an important hormone related to the reproductive system. This hormone largely affects the activities related to erection. Hormonal imbalance can be the reason for erectile dysfunction but hormonal changes are not the only cause of this disease because of some other underlying problems can also be responsible for ED. Therefore blood tests can play an important role in deciding whether testosterone is really responsible for the ED. If the testosterone level is low and causing the ED, testosterone replacement therapy is a more logical approach to deal with ED than taking pills like Viagra. It is observed that about 30% of patients have recovered with the help of this treatment approach.

Testosterone is not the only cause of ED. There are multiple other reasons that are responsible. Erectile dysfunction can also occur in males due to abnormal circulation of blood. During an erection, penis tissues required continue blood flow to the main harder erection. Lower blood flow to the penis during erection leads to poor erection and subsequently ED. There are different reasons for poor blood flow to penis and diabetes mellitus type 2 is the main culprit behind it. Now, solving ED caused by diabetes through testosterone replacement therapy is not the logical approach. The logical approach to deal with ED here is keeping the amount of glucose in our blood to normal levels to treat ED. Blood pressure will be maintained and there will be no issue of blood flow and circulation in the penis that can prevent the proper erection in males.

Some drugs are also being used for this purpose and these drugs have proved beneficial to the patients. These drugs include Cialis, Stendra, Levitra, Viagra, Staxyn. These medications are very effective to treat this disease because these medicines contain elements like Nitric Oxide. Nitric oxide is the element that is widely known to relax the muscles of the body. Nitric oxide acts as a vasodilator. These drugs fulfill the requirements of nitric oxide in the body. This element works for the relaxation of muscles present in the penis. Further, these medicines increase the blood flow to the penis which helps in maintaining the erection for a longer duration.

The new approach to diagnose ED is surgery. Erectile dysfunction surgery is now possible where proper surgical procedures are done to control the smooth flow and circulation of blood in the penis. This treatment is good for the patients if drugs medication doesn’t work properly.

Logical Approach to Treating Erectile Dysfunction

There are different approaches to deal with ED. To find the logical approach, it is important to understand what is causing the ED. If the low testosterone level is responsible for the ED, testosterone replacement therapy is a more logical approach. If ED is caused by the poor blood flow to penile tissues, it is important to deal with diabetes or other underlying diseases that are causing abnormal blood flow. Sometimes medicines like Viagra are the only option available to treat ED. Similarly, if no other approach works, it is important to change the lifestyle of the patient. It is a proven fact that negative thinking, smoking, and other bad habits can cause ED. Therefore, in this situation, the most logical approach is to change the lifestyle to treat ED.
