Erection is of great interest to many men. Many men want to check if their penile functions are going normal. A Nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) that is the stamp test can be called as the second name of the self erection test. A normal man can have erection up to 3 to 5 times at night according to the experts but in case of erectile dysfunction, this doesn’t remain possible. How to prepare for the test

The preparation of the test is easier than you think. Purchase the four to six postages of stamps. Remove all the hairs around the sensitive part. Place the penis back under the shorts after drying. It will prevent the removal of stamp from the part. Wear this stamp whole night. If the ring is broken when you wake up in the morning, means you are not suffering from the ED. If the ring is unbroken, repeat the test for the next two nights. If the results stay the same, you are suffering from ED.

There are some other ways to test the self erection like RigiScan and penile plethysmograph.

RigiScan is a device that is used to find the amount of Nocturnal penile erection. It is a type of unit that is placed under the thighs with the help of two loops for the direct torque current. One loop should place in the penis base and the second loop should be connected with the area before the glance penis. This machine is perfect to find the state of circulation of blood in the penis.

The other method is penile plethysmograph in which the device is used to find the normal erection. This device connected with penis cuffs and records the movement of blood in the penis. This device has the ability to record and view the actions. Watching pictures and pornographic movies and slides or listening to the audio of stimulation is included in it but the easiest method is stamp and strips method.
